Faith Formation programs at SS Peter and Paul:
(our programs are revised in 2020-2021 due to COVID 19)
Sunday School
At the start of this school year, we are not going to be able to offer Sunday School. Once gathering regulations change and as space allows, we will once again be holding classes for our 5 year olds and kindergarteners twice per month during Sunday Mass.
Primary Faith Formation
Our 1st through 6th graders come to class on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30 - 7:30pm. 7th – 9th grades have class on Sunday following Mass.
We use the Sadlier "We Believe" Catholic Identity curriculum for 1st through 6th grade and Sadlier's "We Live Our Faith" for 7th and 8th grades. Every two years, our 7th and 8th grades have teaching from "Theology of the Body" curriculum.
Confirmation
Our Confirmation program is open to young men and women starting their ninth grade of high school. We meet once per week during the regular Faith Formation school year. Our classes meet following 10:00 Sunday Mass. Our Confirmation Mass is held in the spring in Rochester with Pax Christi.
Our Confirmation candidates must select a Saint, prayerfully choose a sponsor to help them grow in their Faith throughout their confirmation process, participate in a retreat, complete a report about their saint and also make a poster about themselves to post in our church. More specific details about the requirements for Confirmation will be posted on line and also given to the candidates at the beginning of the school year.
