Hospitality Minister Guidelines – SPP Parish

The Hospitality Ministers – often (but not always) a couple or a family – sets the tone for the welcoming environment of Sts. Peter and Paul. Be outgoing. Greet everyone who enters. If you don’t know them, introduce yourself. Hopefully you will learn who they are – maybe they are visitors or new to the Parish.
A few reminders:
  1. 9:30 Start
Please plan to arrive and be in position by 9:30 AM
  2. Greet, hand out bulletins, do whatever you can to welcome attendees
    1. If new to the parish, encourage them to join us for coffee afterwards
  3. Stay 5 Minutes More
Once Mass starts, stay in the Narthex an extra 5 minutes to help direct latecomers to available seating
  4. Eucharistic Gifts
To prevent a delay at the offertory for someone to stand and being up the gifts:
Please identify a family for this task prior to Mass.
    1. Give them the card on the table
    2. Ask them to come to the offertory table as soon as the ushers are halfway through the collection (center aisles), and just as Father and the Servers first stand up.
That way they are ready to present the wine and the hosts when Father comes down the sanctuary steps.
